Rocks and Ores -Non-Metallic Ores, Various localities

Commercially, non-metallic ores and rocks can be just as important or even more important than metallic ores!!

I have included a selection of diamond drill core samples in this section. The cores are from a diamond prospect in Northwestern Quebec, right on the border with Ontario, at the top of Lake Temiskaming. The core samples all show eclogitic pyropes and other indicator minerals plus the breccia fragment textures often seen in this unique rock type.

Item #7794
Scheelite, Pyrrhotite
9.2x7.9x7.5 cm
Largest Crystal Size: 10mm
$150.00
Cantung Mine
Cantung, Nahanni Area

An extremely fluorescent specimen of scheelite from this world famous locality. I have put this in the "non-metallic ores" category since, despite the fact that the piece is mostly pyrrhotite, the ore mineral is scheelite. A couple of full crystals present. Heavy!
