A very interesting, colourless, clear, doubly terminated quartz crystal from one of the famous fluorite deposits of Asturias. The crystal is deeply hoppered on all faces in a similar way to some crystals from Herkimer, NY or Greely, Ontario. On the base are many tiny crystals of calcite, pyrite fluorite and barite where it was attached to matrix. Some of the hoppers have pyrite crystals or fluid, entrapped. We don't often see this mineral from the fluorite deposits of Spain! Interesting and beautiful! t
